Tap on “Manage what you sync.”

Make sure that “Sync everything” is selected and the “Bookmarks” option is toggled to the right.

2. Restart Chrome to Refresh Its Sync Processes

Completely close Chrome by clicking the “X” on the window or using “Ctrl + Shift + Q” to close all tabs. Wait a few seconds, then reopen Chrome by clicking its icon. This refreshes Chrome’s processes and may resolve sync issues.

3. Update Chrome to the Latest Version

Click the three-dot menu, go to “Help,” then “About Google Chrome.” Chrome will automatically check for updates—install any available updates.

Once updated, restart Chrome to apply the changes, or click “Relaunch” to restart the application.

4. Clear the Browser’s Cache to Eliminate Old Data Conflicts

Click on the three-dot menu.

Go to “Settings.”

Click “Privacy and security,” then select “Delete browsing data.”

In the window, check “Cached images and files” and click “Delete data.” This removes old cache files that may be conflicting with syncing.

5. Disable All Extensions to Check for Interference

In the URL bar, type chrome://extensions/ and press Enter.

Disable all extensions by toggling off the blue switches next to each one. After disabling, restart Chrome and check if syncing resumes.

6. Sign Out of Chrome and Sign Back In to Reset Sync

Open Chrome and click the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner.

Click “Settings.”

Click “Turn off” beside your Google account.

To sign back in, click “Turn on sync” at the top of the Settings page.

Enter your Google account credentials starting form your email then click on “Next” and follow the on-screen prompts to ensure that sync is enabled for bookmarks.

7. Reinstall Chrome if Other Steps Fail

If none of the above steps work, uninstall Chrome and download the latest version. Reinstalling Chrome helps eliminate bugs and corrupted files that could be causing the issue.

Search for “Chrome” in the search on your taskbar. Right-click on Google Chrome, then select “Uninstall.”

Go to this link and click on “Download Chrome” to start reinstalling the application.
