Add a Tab from Google Chrome to the Home Screen
Follow the steps below to add a Chrome tab to your home screen.
1. Go to the Website You Want to Save
In your open Chrome browser, type the URL of the website you want to add to your home screen in the address bar at the top. Press Enter to navigate to that page. Make sure you’re on the exact page you want to save.
2. Open the Chrome Menu by Tapping the Three Dots
Look at the top-right corner of the Chrome window. Tap the three vertical dots to open the browser’s menu. This will display options like bookmarks, history, and settings.
3. Choose “Add to Home Screen” from the Menu
Scroll down the list of menu options. Find and tap on “Add to Home Screen.” This starts the process of creating a shortcut for the page.
4. Name the Shortcut and Tap “Add”
A pop-up will appear with a default name for the shortcut. If you want, you can type a new name in the text box. After naming it, tap the “Add” button.
5. Confirm by Tapping “Add” Again
You may be asked to confirm adding the shortcut to your home screen. Simply tap “Add” again in the pop-up to complete the process.
6. Find the Website Shortcut on Your Home Screen
Go back to your device’s home screen. The website shortcut will appear as an icon. Tap the icon to quickly open the website from your home screen.
