How to Import Firefox Bookmarks to Google Chrome
Follow the steps below to transfer bookmarks from Firefox to Chrome.
1. Open the Firefox Menu and Access Bookmarks
Click the menu button “≡” (three horizontal lines) in the top-right corner, then select “Bookmarks“. In the menu that will show, select “Manage bookmarks”.
This opens the Library window, where you can manage your saved bookmarks.
2. Export Bookmarks as HTML
In the Library window, select the Bookmark folder you want to import to Chrome. In our example, it is the bookmarks toolbar.
Click “Import and Backup,” then hover over “Export Bookmarks to HTML”. This will open your local file manager. Choose a location on your computer to save the HTML file, then click “Save”.
3. Open the Google Chrome Menu and Access Bookmarks Manager
Click the menu button “⫶” (three vertical dots) in the top-right corner of Chrome, then select “☆ Bookmarks and lists“.
On the side menu that will pop, click “Import bookmarks and settings”. This will open a new window to help you choose the import options.
4. Select the Import Option
In the “Import bookmarks and settings” dialog box, choose “Bookmarks HTML File” from the dropdown menu.
This will change the dialog box. Next, click “Choose File” and find the HTML file you exported from Firefox.
Make sure you select the right file to avoid importing the wrong data. Click “Open”.
5. Finish the Import
Your Firefox bookmarks will be imported into Chrome, appearing in the Bookmarks bar. You might see a confirmation message once the import is complete.
