Follow the steps below to extract bookmarks on Google Chrome for Android.

1. Access the Google Takeout Website on Your Android Device

Open Google Chrome or any browser on your Android device. In the address bar, type takeout.google.com and press “Enter”. This will take you to Google Takeout, where you can export your bookmarks.

2. Choose Chrome Data to Export

Scroll down the list of data types and click “Deselect All.”

3. Select Only Bookmarks in Chrome

Then, scroll until you find “Chrome” and check the box next to it to select Chrome data for export.

Select “All Chrome data included” to choose which data to export.

Choose “Deselect all.”

Ensure only “Bookmarks” is checked, and uncheck other options if they are selected.

Click “OK” to continue.

4. Pick a Delivery Method for the Export

Scroll down and tap “Next Step.”

Choose your delivery method by selecting options like “Send download link via email” or you can choose from the dropdown below when you click it. In our case, let’s choose “Send download link via email.”

5. Start the Export Process

Tap the “Download your files” in the email or notification to download the bookmarks file to your device.

A new window from Google Chrome will open, then click “Download.”

7. Extract and Use the Bookmarks File

Once downloaded, the file will be in .zip format. Click on the three-dot menu of Chrome.

Then, tap on “Downloads.”

Click on the .zip file to start extracting it.

You will be redirected to your local file manager. Make sure you have selected the file, then click on “Extract.”

Tap on the folder “Chrome” to access the bookmarks file.

Under the Chrome folder, you will see the downloaded bookmarks file in HTML format.
